Thursday night I got a call from Hil's old roommate in Breckenridge saying "Hey, there's this guy who's riding his bike across America. He is staying with me tonight, so ...can you put him up tomorrow night?" --Of course I can! Send him over!
So that's how Becky and I met Brent. He came into town Friday night with a flat tire and a flat spare. We spent the rest of the weekend trying to get him a new tire. But we had a lot of fun along the way-- we watched home-made boat races through town, we ate at Pizza Madness (A Canon tradition), we listened to "Maverick and the Geezers", we watched the World Cup final matches, ... what else? Anyway, it was a great weekend. Best wishes to Brent!

I didn't have my camera with me much during the weekend, but mosey over to Becky's site (if she has internet today) because she has the pictures of the boat race and some adorable Canon denizens at the rainy riverwalk party.

We sent Brent off to Pueblo yesterday following a little rainstorm, and then Becky and I made an appearance at a party. I was just glad to get Becky into conversations with girls. Then we caught a packed showing of the pirate movie. If you haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend it, but go to the bathroom first. For one thing, it's really lengthy. For another, there's a lot of water on-screen, splashing and sloshing and infecting your mind.
