Just more mountains

I really would like to hear what other people have to say about Star Trek (only people I know), but here is another picture of the mountains today. Again, I just rolled the window down and snapped the shot.  Posted by Picasa

since you went to all the trouble of posting a picture of mountains...

Has anyone considered the newest star trek, which in current fashion is meant to be the first star trek? I have watched a fair share of episodes and I will say I prefer it over the other two.

I'll say that I appreciate both of the first two series, though for a while I was a hanger on of both Deep Space 9 and Voyager. I never managed to get into the new one, Enterprise.

As far as Ed's comment about the commentary, Next Gen had plenty of that as well. I just watched an episode recently in which Starfleet had an outpost on a "primitive" (think technology of native americans in the 18th cent) planet. They were discovered and the massive leap in technology was unfathomable to the primitive people so they made Picard into a god and started behaving irrationally trying to please him. It eventually ended with a very anti-religious soliloquy by Picard. Quite a controversial social commentary if you ask me.
