One (word)

Please, please listen to this very short song and then tell me what you think. I heard it wrong the first time (I'll say how after the lyrics).

One
One
One
One or two won't do
Cos I want it all
And a sip
A sip
A sip or a spoonful won't do
No, I want it all
And I hope
I hope
Hope you know what I'm thinking of
I want all of your love
I need all of your love

She said "If love
If Love
Is a posion cup
Then drink it up"
"Cos a sip
A sip
Or a spoonful won't do
Won't do nothing for you
Except mess you up"

And I hope
I hope
Hope you know what this means
I'm gonna give you everything
I'm gonna give you everything

I didn't hear the "if" in the "she said" verse, and I wrote it off to another sad song about a demented lover in a relationship that will never work. But something made me listen again, and the addition of the word "if" means so much to the song. It changes it from a depressing song to a sweet inspiring ditty that makes you want to love, and to hurt if you have to and really give it everything. Reminiscent of Moulin Rouge-- just being in love with Love, you know?

"If." What a word.

I'm afraid I was thrown off from the beginning because I though he said "WINE" instead of "ONE". Again it gives the song a whole different meaning. I think they should change it to a love song about Wine.
