Friday afternoon, after work, Becky and I piled lots of camping and fishing stuff in (and on) my truck and headed up to Elevenmile Reservoir for a night of camping.
We got some firewood on the way from the owner of the greatest raft company on the Arkansas River (who is also a poker buddy of mine).
Camping at the Lazy-Boy campground at Elevenmile. I recommend it or Cross Creek (which is where we went with Ed&Monticore) for tent camping, although there were a few RVs with engines running through the night.
Sleeping at 7-8000 feet is always so nice. The air is so clean and crisp. Well, it was cold too, so that's invigorating.
Only complaint: the fishing was kinda crap. It's still pretty early up there. We lost a few lures and broke a few lines, but still had a good time.
Saturday we got back to the house and just kinda hung out. Watched an awesome doc on the Spanish-American War and took naps.
Sunday: mother's day stuff. Becky can fill in that story, because she has pictures.
