Silly nerds.

Well, Fresno made the national news this morning. PS3 riot shown on the Today show. woop woop!

Anyway, I heard on Jim Rome yesterday that some guys in Japan hired guys out of a homeless shelter to stand in line for them to get PS3s. The guys are apparently going to sell them on eBay for a tidy profit. They gave the guys money for standing in line and fed them. If you phrase this one way, it could sound like exploiting/dehumanizing the homeless guys. If you phrase it another way, it sounds like employing people who need work and money.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

on the fresno thing, how silly. i was on best buy's website to see if they would be selling them at midnight. they had their policy up in advance. best buy would not be selling at midnight. each best buy location would have the same allotment of 60gig and 20 gig ps3's. at 7 am, they would hand out numbers. those numbers entitled you to enter at 8, when they opened, and to get your ps3. pretty freaking easy. and yet, morons freak out at midnight.

if you wanted to get it then, you needed to go to walmart, less than one mile away. idiots.

This has certainly been the topic of blogger conversation with many friends today. This is the fourth blog today where somebody blogged about the riots... fresno or elsewhere. Dumb idiots.
