Today is great.

I got a new headset, so that was fun to set up. Call me at work! I can't promise not to multitask you... Nevermind-- I'm busy.

I had five houses call this morning. People from projects I worked on a long time ago called to say they're moving along and let's get some prices out. So I'm working on those prices. It's a great time, imagining everything about the houses and feeding that info into a spreadsheet that figures out the prices of everything.

So I'm excited and working frantically. It's great fun.

We got paid on Friday for that job that I was upset about. Thanks, Adam for the emp. and symp. ... You know, sometimes you have to vent, and it's nice to have people hear it.

I'm also in a good mood because I got my hat this morning! It's nice because it doesn't look too costumey. I was wearing it around at lunch and I like it. Shipping from Overstock was fast, but the hat was a little crunched. Picky picky. It's kind of important, though, because the appearance of a hat is pretty much the point. I'm going to take it to the local western wear store and get it shaped, and see if they can put some starch or something in it to stiffen it up a little. I'll post a picture later. I'd feel a little silly posing myself for pictures in my office. At least while people are around.

I'm working on pricing some plans right now for a bike-centered development. The houses are cozy, with bike garages attached to them, porches, facing each other... should be a nice community-type neighborhood. They've got an "urban loft" feel... we'll see if they like our prices. I hope so, because our system of building would go nicely in this historic neighborhood. Infill-- I'm all about it.
