I can't believe how cool Google maps is. I was looking for map to the Great Sand Dunes-- there may be a trip there this weekend-- and by the time I was finished, I had
- looked at satellite images of Mile High Stadium (Invescofield @ milehigh),
- searched the airports I knew for familiar landmarks
- followed I-70 across the state of Colorado
- decided I was going to find a picture of a plane in the air

I found a plane taking off at SFO, heading NNE on 19 L (appears upside down on the map)
Anyone else see anything cool?
There should be a google maps scavenger hunt.

The moon sans craters.
I've been shown that opportunity to peruse satellite photos but had forgotten about it. It is really fun though (when you've got spare time).
yeah. there's also
http://moon.google.com
where you can see the surface of the moon with landing sites from the Apollo missions. If you go there, be wure to zoom in as far as you can go. It's cool.
I posted a picture of my apartment on my blog. I was also able to look into the crater of mount st. helens. God bless google!
i hate google maps. can't ever seem to get it to do what i want despite the varying browsers i use. maybe it's just me.
